In true Macomb County fashion, Denise earned her college degree while working full-time. In Lansing, she fights to make sure all students and workers have access to trade school or college programs where they can earn a degree or develop the skills they need to get ahead.
Denise is a firm advocate for our public schools, and opposes Betsy DeVos's agenda to take public dollars OUT of public schools and award them to unaccountable, corporate for-profit schools.
Denise believes strongly in increasing our investment in schools and school safety, and she supported providing free breakfast and lunch for all Michigan K-12 students.

Denise has seen firsthand how a lack of investment in our water infrastructure from the state level can impact local communities in Macomb County. As your State Representative, Denise will continue to fight to put the state’s budget towards replacing old, outdated pipes and upgrading local water treatment plants.
Denise will fight to safeguard our state's lakes, rivers, and streams. If accidents do happen, Denise will fight to make corporate polluters pay to clean up their own messes.
