If you’re still not registered come Election Day and want to vote on Tuesday, November 5th, you must register in person at your city or township clerk’s office by 8 p.m. After registering, you can vote an absent voter ballot at the city or township clerk’s office.

Proof of residency:

You must show proof of where you live when using this option. Documents must have your name and current address. You can show a digital copy of documents. Acceptable documents include:

• Michigan driver’s license, state ID, or tribal ID.
• Current utility bill
• Bank statement
• Paycheck or government check
• Other government document, college or university records
